About Me

I'm a native Washingtonian - have lived in Washington all of my life. We're a rare breed.

I grew up in eastern Washington in the small town of Colville. I went to college (Whitworth College, now Whitworth University) in Spokane and lived and worked there for about five years after graduating. I then moved to western Washington, and have lived in Poulsbo, Bellevue and Edmonds.

I have a B.S. in Physics and Math. I went straight from college into the computer field. I have worked for American Sign & Indicator Corporation (in Spokane), Digital Equipment Corporation, now Washington State Ferries, and am now retired (at least part-time <smile>). I have owned my own businesses and have done consulting and contract work in several different fields.

I love the outdoors and think Washington State is the perfect place to experience the outdoors. I have a wide range of interests, including photography, reading, hiking, cross-country skiing, bicycling. Some friends say I have too many interests! Because of all of my varied interests, I never seem to have time to complete everything I want to. But, I am never bored.

As long as I am able I will continue to travel and explore Washington and the rest of the Pacific Northwest, and will take you with me on my adventures.
